Sake: nothing will change even if we don't have it in our daily lives. However, those who love sake cannot enjoy their lives without it. As we all know, it is very easy to buy alcohol products and just get drunk; they are available in many supermarkets and convenience stores.

But the sake for us is not the mere alcohol beverage. We think that sake is something more: encouragement for tomorrow; happiness, delight and satisfying pleasure. It makes our happy times happier; gives a nice little comfort when you feel down.

There are many artisan sakes like that. We believe in such sakes and want to tell their stories. Sake is a very unique, mysterious and remarkable alcohol beverage made from rice and water-it's so simple, but need great care and control to every aspect of the process from brewing to storing and distributing. Its divine flavor and complex taste showcase sake's distinctive character and aspects that are comparable to wines. We feel confident that sake will be appearing more and more on every table. Opening Japanese people's eyes to our terrific Japanese sake-it has been our humble dream, and we pursue further innovation to make this dream come true.

Hasegawasaketen now has its head quarter in Kameido, Tokyo, Japan, and operates retail blanches in Azabu-juban and Aoyama Omotesando Hills, as well as our restaurant Sakatomo in Roppongi and Nakanaka in Ohshima. Our next step is to introduce sake, Japan's extraordinary alcohol product, to the United States followed by Europe and Asia.
